How to make your hair healthy

While genetics play an important role in healthy hair, but diet, weather, and pollution also play a very critical aspect in hair health. Here we will discuss important measures and diet to how to make your hair healthy.

Have proper protein

Diet, low in protein can result in weak, brittle, and dry hair, which can cause hair loss easily.

Have a balanced diet with adequate protein in it.

  • Kidney beans

Have Omega-3 fatty acids

Choose the right shampoo

Choosing the right type of shampoo is very important, try all types of shampoo and see which one suits your hair the best. Stick to the same type of shampoo for a while, don’t change shampoos frequently.

Brush up regularly

Hair brushing is one of the most important measures of hair health. It not only helps in letting out specks of dust and microbes but also increases blood circulation in the scalp area.

It is advised to brush hair a minimum of 2 times a day.

Shower temperature should be maintained

Hot water could damage the hair follicles and cause itching.

Water higher than 40°c could damage the scalp, causing dryness as a result of the natural oils being stripped away.

This could in turn cause inflammation, which could cause hair follicle shrinkage that leads to hair thinning and loss.

Always try to maintain the water temperature below 38°C.

Let your hair air-dry

Always allow your hair to dry by itself instead of using a hair-dryer or hot rollers. Using dryers for drying the hair can make your hair more brittle and dry. If you are out of time then only use dryers, and always use them on the lowest possible setting available.

Give oil treatment once a week

When your hair is still wet after the shower that is the best time to give oil treatment, don’t use any products with coconut oil, it can cause protein buildup on the hair follicles and cause hair loss.

Cut your hairs after every 6 weeks

Cutting your hair from time to time will make sure the ends don’t split very far up. Spilled hairs are more likely to be lost. Trimming ensures your hair will be less likely to break, and it will look healthy and full of life.

Protect your hairs from the sun

UV light from the sun cause damage to hair follicles, which in turn results in hair loss and weak hairs.

Always use a scarf when going out directly in the sun.
