Although fruits are full of nutrients, they are also rich in sugar that also in fructose, the sweetest sugar. If you add syrups and yogurt it becomes even worse for a diabetic patient. It is much better if you consume the fruit whole since your body will be able to process the sugar in a slower manner and receive the healthy fibers instead of making smothies.

White carbs

Refined starches, like white rice and anything made with white flour, like pasta and white bread. These “white” carbs are nothing but pure sugars with less other nutrients, which means they will increase your glucose levels a considerate amount. Replace white carbs with whole grains, such as brown rice, barley, oatmeal etc.

Alcohol does not come under sugar category but body converts alcohol into sugar. Excessive use of alcohol not only damage the liver but also increases the sugar content in the blood stream which severe the diabetes and and it’s effects. Conversely, long-term alcohol ingestion in diabetic patients who are not decently nourished can lead to dangerously low blood sugar levels. Alcohol should always be taken in a very considerable amount.

Packaged foods are made with refined flour and provides very few nutrients, they have plenty of fast-digesting carbs that can rapidly raise blood sugar. It includes unhealthy levels of added sugar, sodium, fat and bad cholesterols. These ingredients and harmful MSG make the food we eat taste better, but too much of them leads to serious health issues like heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.
